Phare DISAE Facility project MC-106 ”Development of approximation and implementation programme for EU legislation concerning Genetically Modified Organisms"

The joint Latvian - Danish project "Assistance to the Latvian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development for Approximation of Legislation and Regulations in the Water Sector, Latvia" 1998 - 1999 undertaken by "Carl Bro Latvia". The goal of the project is the partial transposition of some EU water directives by mid-1998 with full transposition of the main water sector directives by the end of 1999. Institutional capacity building and monitoring of the implementation of the directives are also important components of the project.

Daugava River Basin Project has started in March 2000 based on the agreement between Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia and Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The project also is financially supported by Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The project duration is 2 years.

Latvian - Danish co-operation project "Continuation of the EU Approximation Process In the Latvian Water Sector" (01.2001. - 01.2002.) The project has been implemented by the Danish company COWI and their Latvian partners Aqua Brambis.
